Crunch! It was mid-June, and our friend suddenly realised he had backed into our vehicle in the dark! Fortunately, the damage didn’t seem too bad, and we were still able to drive home. Our friend sorted out an insurance claim and Louise took it to the panel beaters to get it assessed. Imagine her surprise when they called to say the vehicle was being written off! Louise’s mum had been praying about getting our vehicle upgraded for some time, and it seemed like this was the answer.
The thought of a new vehicle was exciting to us, but when the girls learnt the news, they burst out crying. At first we wondered why, then we realised the Blue MPV had been around for their whole lives. It was something that had remained steady through shifting houses and changing friends. To help say goodbye we held a celebration pizza dinner and took a family photo with the MPV. This helped them to appreciate with us the blessing that our new vehicle has been, with a bit more space inside for carting young people around and a much more reliable engine.
